Flat Tire Without a Jack (Rabbit)

School has been keeping me really busy. Wendy too. It's good, we're just super busy (which is a lame excuse for not updating my blog, but let's not dwell on that, shall we?)

Business class today was a lecture about taxes and book keeping for massage therapists, given by a lovely accountant lady named Anne Groat. I had never thought accountant types were so nice, but she was wonderful and knowledgable and very enthusiastic about her subject.

So I learned a lot about accounting and book keeping. Mostly, that if I'm going to go into the massage business, I need to hire an accountant/bookkeeper.

It was snowing when we left school, and coming down pretty good. At a stoplight, a nice lady told Wendy that she had a flat tire. Wendy pulled off into a parking lot so we could take a look.

Yep, that's flat.

I pointed out that it was only flat on the bottom.

But it didn't seem to comfort Wendy any. We got back in the car and discussed our options.

I am not a Jack Rabbit, I can't change tires. Turns out, neither can Wendy (and she didn't even know where the jack in this car was because it's really the Trygve-mobile). I could see she was stressing out, and I knew exactly what to do.

Call for help.

We watched the snow fall as we waited.

There was a huge wreck on the highway that delayed our rescuers, but they took a detour and before we knew it, there they were!

Rescued! By Wendy's dad, and Trygve!!

They hopped out of their stolen borrowed truck (they swiped it from Wendy's mom) and got straight to work.

Though Frank also pointed out that it was only flat on the bottom. It still didn't seem to comfort Wendy any. (shrug)

Before I could shake my tail twice, it was all fixed up and they were putting everything away!
Frank waved "bye" and drove off into the sunset... well, some heroic exit along those lines.

And Trygve drove us home. Now that my paws have thawed out a bit (it was really COLD) I'm updating my blog, and I think Wendy is doing better too.

Thanks Frank and Trygve! You're my heroes!!!

Back to School

Christmas break is over, and it's back to school.

This is my last quarter, Wendy's too. After this, we're officially massage therapists.

Today was the first day of business class, which is taught by a very nifty guy named Jerry. Mostly it seems like it's going to be guest speakers, starting today. Our first speaker was Dennis Simpson, the guy who started and owns the Colorado School of Healing Arts.

Nice guy. Great talk. Dennis made me think about a lot of things I hadn't thought about before. And he ended his talk with "Row, row, row your boat."

Not as a song. As advice.

Strangely enough, after listening to him speak, I would have to say that it IS advice. Good advice at that.

I'm glad I got to meet him. I think he was glad he got to meet me too. :)

Return of the Couch

Yes, she is a huge goofball, (ninja goofball, mind you) But there are times I think I have the best sister in the world.

I told Kumo that I was going to try rearranging stuff back the way it was, and she said that seemed like a good idea, but didn't say anything else about it.

I was a busy bunny today, lots of errands to run, and when I got back home I found this in my office -

I think the dogs were just as bewildered by it as I was. Though chose not to express my bewilderment through furious sniffing, leaving that to them instead.

Kumo said that she'd been calling couch places all day, and finally tracked one down that looked like my old couch. What a sweetie. And she used the big monster couch that was in my library as a trade in.

So, up next... my comfy chair returns to the library.

It's starting to feel more like home already.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Well, Wendy and I did not go out for live music tonight. We were both a little afraid of whether we could get out of the driveway or not. So it's been a quiet, contemplative night for me.

Tomorrow begins the reclaiming of the bachelor bunny den. Wish me luck with that.

I guess I should have a resolution, but I don't. I like Wendy's idea of just having goals. So I have a goal -

I will finish my 100 themes photo project in the year 2007.

Okay, and I will update my blog at least twice a week - Every Tuesday and Friday. I will. I don't promise it will be interesting. Just updated.

So, now it's just after midnight. There are fireworks going off, but strangely the two dogs are sleeping through them, blissfully unaware that another year has gone by. Good for them. Happy New Year little sleeping doggies.

Welcome 2007!

Happy New Year everyone!!!
