So, this is farewell.

Wendy and I went to her parents' house for Christmas, and we had a lovely time. As we were coming home, Wendy asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Anything I wanted, she said.

And I said I wanted to stay home. That I didn't want to be a travel bunny anymore.

She cried. A lot. But she understands my reasons, and respects them, and so I am a travel bunny no more. I'm going to stay home and play with my dog, and catch up on books, and be a home bunny.

It's been a great time. Wendy said she's going to miss having a bunny in her purse, and I'm going to miss being that bunny. I told her that I could name at least FIVE other bunnies that would love to travel with her, but she said she wanted no companion but me.

I've seen great places. And I've met great people. It's been one heck of an adventure. But it's over now. Merry Christmas to me.

To all of you who've read my blog over the year and a halfish I've been writing it, thank you. To those of you just reading it for the first time, the "best of" links on the right are a fine way to see what you missed.

Thank you for reading, thank you for your kind emails and comments. They meant more than you know. So now, I'm off to feed the dogs and maybe watch a movie on TV. But I leave you with this, as my farewell to you.
